I'M not sure if songs should be covered, sometimes I like it but sometimes I think "Why?", if oyu know what I mean ;)?
I think covers are okay; especially when the song is super old and needs to be reinvented. Sampling is good too!!

Songs that are covered are better than movie remakes..
I love placebo's cover of running up that hill. I also like playradioplays! version of Mr.Brightside.
Covers are more popular than ever and its cool when you even find R.E.M and Radiohead along with many more getting in on the act.

We have a radio station that only plays covers at lunch. I'm shocked so many bands doing covers from other bands.
I don't know... Sometimes covers are better than the originals.
But this is not the case. I prefer the Aerosmith version :D

I think it's fine is songs are covered sometimes, because sometimes I've ended up liking the covers better than the orginial! :)

Hm, I do prefer originals, as a lot of cover versions tend to be rather bad. Anyway, also some covers are excellent, but that is rare.
I'm a fan of originals but some artists/bands can make a rather interesting spin on a song. You have a very lovely tast in music hehe

i think people should only cover songs if they plan to bring something new to the table
if not, whats the point?
i would definitely prefer the original ones. but still depends. hehe.
